The department proudly recognizes the remarkable achievement of Mr. Ezekiel L. Borasca, a graduating BS Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) student from Cavite State University - Main Campus, who showcased his innovation, an automated double-ring infiltrometer named “Infiltrometech” during the ThinkTalk 2025: Technology Pitching Competition held on June 26, 2025, as part of the university’s FutuRE's Thinking Week celebration.
Infiltrometech
is a student-developed technology that addresses the need for accurate and
efficient infiltration testing in soil—an important process in land and water
resources engineering and sustainable agricultural planning. A portable,
automated double-ring infiltrometer that's both compact and incredible
efficient, minimizing human intervention with automated refilling and data
logging, promising unprecedented accuracy and ease of use.
ThinkTalk
2025 served as a platform for innovators across the university to present
technologies with real-world impact to a panel of experts, stakeholders, and
potential investors. As one of the youngest inventors in the competition,
Ezekiel demonstrated not just technical competence, but also a passion for
applying engineering principles in addressing local challenges.
His
participation reflects the department’s commitment to nurturing future-ready
engineers equipped to lead in innovation and sustainability. His dedication and
ingenuity continue to inspire fellow students and affirm the value of the BSABE
program in producing solution-driven professionals. (VVVergara)
