Engr. Dizon Continues to Demonstrate Excellence During His PhD Studies

DAFE faculty member and PhD scholar, Engr. Jose Carlo R. Dizon, participated in the 2025 Hohai University International Summer Program on Water Disaster Prevention and Mitigation under Climate Change held on July 6 - 19, 2025, in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China.

The two-week program brought together Water Engineering Management (WEM) doctoral students, participants from various Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) programs, and students from France and Norway. It featured indoor lectures, interactive discussions, and educational field trips to hydraulic structures and cultural landmarks, all centered on the theme "Water Disaster Prevention and Mitigation under Climate Change."

During the program's international symposium, Engr. Dizon presented his study, "A Modeling Approach in Flood Risk Assessment under Climate Change: A Case of Imus River in the Province of Cavite, Philippines." His presentation earned him one of the Best Presentation Awards, highlighting both the quality of his research and his communication skills. 


In addition, Engr. Dizon was presented with the Leadership Award for his active engagements and contributions during the program.
