BSABE students from Cavite State University, John Russel G. Candare and Ashlee P. Tagustos, together with DAFE faculty members Engr. John Paulo M. Perido and Engr. Daniel G. Sierra, participated in a five-day training workshop titled “Agri-Tech Innovate: Accelerating Digital Solutions for Sustainable Agriculture & Fisheries (Digi Agri Hacki) Bootcamp and Mentoring Session” organized by the DA–Agricultural Training Institute. The workshop was held from August 25–29, 2025 at Madison 101 Hotel, Quezon City.

The event gathered 48 participants, composed of 36 students and 12 coaches from 10 state universities representing Regions II, IV-A, VI, and X. It featured in-depth discussions on the use of ICT in agriculture and fisheries, consultations with industry experts, and mentoring sessions on prototype development, business modeling, and feasibility analysis. The program culminated in a pitch presentation, where each group showcased their proposed digital solutions.

This activity marked Phase 2 of Digi Agri Hacki. The program aims to empower the youth in creating innovative digital solutions to address pressing challenges in the agriculture and fisheries sector.

Phase 1, an Ideation Workshop held on March 31, 2025, qualified three teams from CvSU to advance to Phase 2. Notably, two of these teams included BSABE students and DAFE faculty members.

Phase 2 served as a capacity-building session, honing participants’ skills in idea generation, problem-solving, and concept refinement in line with the mission of Digi Agri Hacki.
