Dr. Ruel M. Mojica, DAFE faculty, was recently designated as the officer-in-charge of the National Coffee Research Development and Extension Center (NCRDEC) of the Cavite State University. Under the Office Memorandum 76, s.2011, the designation is effective from 25 July to 31 December 2011.
NCRDEC is committed to strengthen research and development activities and enhance the extension delivery system of the Philippine Coffee that will lead to increased productivity, sustainability and global competitiveness.
Dr. Mojica is an agricultural engineer and the only faculty member in the University who has received a post doctoral research fellowship grant from the University of the Philippines - Natural Sciences Research Institute (UP-NSRI) and the Department of Agricultural - Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR) Post Doctoral Research Fellowship on June 2010.
