The department recently hosted a monitoring and inspection activity by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on January 29, 2024.
The event was attended by key representatives including Ramon Rafael Lustado and Janssen Quinto from PRC Lucena, along with Hon. Ceasar Joventino Tado and Hon. Sherwin Valdez from PRB-ABE. Also present were Dr. Willie Buclatin (College Dean), Dr. Marlon Perena (College Secretary), and Prof. Poinsettia Vida (Quality Assurance and Accreditation Coordinator). From the faculty side, Engr. Al Owen Roy A. Ferrera, Engr. Jose Carlo Dizon, and Engr. John Paulo Perido, represented the BSABE department. The meeting, held at the CvSU Board Room, commenced at 1:00 PM.
Various topics were addressed during the session, including faculty applications for the ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineers, potential partnerships with PRC for CPD seminars, and an evaluation of board performance. The discussions were fruitful, with a focus on enhancing program quality and standards.
