DAFE Conducts Orientation for 2025 ABE Licensure Examination Review Class

On August 22, 2025, DAFE successfully conducted this year's Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers Licensure Examination Review Class Orientation, officially marking the start of the department’s review program. The event was attended by several CvSU ABE graduates who are set to take the board examination.

The review class is designed to further equip the graduates and enhance their chances of success in the examination. It will cover essential topics and practical applications relevant to the licensure examination and will be facilitated by the faculty to ensure that the reviewees receive high-quality, focused, and comprehensive guidance. The review class is organized through the voluntary efforts of the DAFE faculty, in coordination with the College of Engineering and Information Technology.

The orientation program began with an opening message from Engr. John Paulo M. Perido, CEIT Review Coordinator, who gave an overview of the activity and its objectives. He also encouraged the reviewees by affirming that they are well-prepared to face the board examination and confidently step into the real world. This was followed by Engr. Al Owen Roy A. Ferrera, Department Chairperson, who expressed his support and encouragement to the reviewees, highlighting the department's commitment to their success.

Engr. Perido then discussed the board exam performance trends, table of specifications, board exam requirements, and the schedule of the review sessions. Meanwhile, Engr. Melrose M. Salona-Perido shared the do's and don'ts in taking the exam, and the necessary preparations prior to exam day. She also gave an inspiring message, sharing helpful review tips and highlighting the importance of proper mind-setting.

Adding to the motivational spirit of the program, Engr. Arjay A. Arpia, Engr. Vincent V. Vergara, and Engr. Ryan Alexander Pelayo delivered inspirational messages and shared their personal experiences before, during, and after their respective board examinations. The graduates showed great interest and excitement as they geared up for the start of their review sessions.

The program concluded with the closing remarks of Engr. John Paulo M. Perido, who reminded everyone of their commitment to study and persevere. The orientation ended with the distribution of diagnostic exam questionnaires, designed to assess the participants’ baseline knowledge and guide their preparation throughout the review program.

The activity provided the graduates with both a clear overview of the upcoming review sessions and a source of encouragement as they begin this professional journey. (MSPerido)
