A project proposal titled, "𝙎𝘼𝙁𝙀 𝘼𝙜𝙧𝙞𝘽𝙞𝙮𝙖𝙝𝙚: 𝙐𝙧𝙗𝙖𝙣 𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩-𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙨,"
led by Dr.
Richelle Mae D. Mendoza-Olpot, has been approved for implementation under the
Galing PCAARRD Kontra Krisis (GPKK) Program of the Department of Science and
Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources
Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD).
The approved project was developed during the Quick Response Project (QRP)
Proposal Packaging Workshop conducted by DOST-PCAARRD, through its Technology
Transfer and Promotion Division’s (TTPD) Extension and Deployment Section last
April 22-23, 2026 at William D. Dar Hall, DOST-PCAARRD.
The project aims to support public utility
vehicle (PUV) drivers and transport-dependent households through the
establishment of community pantries, capacity-building activities, and the
adoption of technology packages on vegetable production and poultry raising.
Through this initiative, beneficiaries will gain improved access to
agricultural produce and technologies, helping communities become more
resilient and self-sustaining during times of emergencies.
The approval of 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗕𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗵𝗲 reflects the
University's continuing commitment to developing responsive,
community-centered, and impact-driven initiatives that address the needs of
vulnerable sectors through science, technology, and innovation.
