DAFE proudly congratulates Pili
AdheSeal, Inc. on winning First Prize in the Enterprise Category at the 3rd
China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held on July 30, 2025,
in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The competition, which carried the theme "Innovation Cooperation for a Shared Dream," received 329 submissions from 23 countries and regions, with 19 outstanding projects advancing to the final round, representing China, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
Pili Seal, the company's flagship
product, is a sustainable hybrid sealant derived from the resin of the native
Pili tree. Beyond its industrial applications in materials such as glass,
plastic, and ceramics, Pili Seal stands out for its eco-friendly qualities. It
can be repurposed as a fertilizer and emits a pleasant scent similar to
essential oils, unlike traditional sealants that often carry toxic odors. Pili
AdheSeal envisions promoting the value of indigenous resources while advancing
sustainable solutions for global industries.

and DAFE faculty member, Engr. Sheena Mae L. de Leon personally received the
award during the China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Camp held on
September 15 to 18, 2025, in Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,
China. The camp fostered science and technology cooperation as well as
people-to-people exchanges between China and ASEAN. It was hosted by the
China-ASEAN Technology Transfer Center and the Department of Science and
Technology of Guangxi, alongside major events such as:
